FTW Oakleaf Bozo Joe, our strong & proven black Labrador

Joe, what can I say?! Joe has been my best friend for the past 8 years.  

He is a  Field Trial Winner  and pleasure to own. He has sat with me everyday shooting for the past 6 years never putting a foot wrong. Calm and easy to handle but when you need him to work, he is fast, keen and super athletic.

Beautiful temperament, brilliant nature and a loyal companion. He has been a great asset to the kennels, mating some of our top bitches. I have several winners by him and some incredible upcoming youngsters. Not many of his puppies have had the opportunity to compete but one famous young dog sired by him, INT FTCH Miller McDuff, has managed to climb to great heights winning the Irish championship and British championship in the same year 2019.

As to the type of puppy he throws, they are soft (but not too soft!), very intelligent, easy to train, long in the back and great retrievers. I have seen young puppies at merely 10 months old, that you would classify as nearly fully trained. Sounds unbelievable… but true. There is still an opportunity to use Joe and I would certainly considerate it before it’s too late. Recently, he has sired several large litters so capable and waiting!

Sadly died aged 12 and is the most missed member of our community and all who loved him, super fit until the day he died. Leaving some amazing prodigy and a great legacy in Wesley.
