Dear Mr Templar,
Sixteen years ago we bought Countryways Jenny from you. Her parents were Glancarw Rhys and Countryways Susie (Bonnet). She was a delightful dog and died aged fifteen and a half during the spring. We also lost our other elderly Springer bitch at thirteen and a half. We let her have one litter of puppies to Fowlers Friend (back to many champions including Countryways Goss and several Badgercourt dogs). We kept one dog puppy, Basil, who is now twelve years old, and has been a real joy, so obedient and would jump from a sit into my husband’s arms as Rhys did. Basil is now getting arthritic so two weeks ago we bought a super pup from Mr Goddard and Ms. Hinsley at Stoke St. Gregory and were delighted to find that he was sired by one of your dogs – we are still awaiting the KC pedigree.
We have now had Harry for two weeks and he is so keen to learn. He is very interested in everything, confident and a sturdy well made little lad. He is copying Basil and it is a joy to watch them walking side by side around the garden with Harry following Basil’s every move. I plan to train him and hope to find help near us in Worle. Thank you for the joy your Countryways line is providing for us.
I attach a photo of Harry and of Millie (Countryways Jenny) Megan and Basil as they finished walking the Offa’s Dyke path with John.
